PURPOSE
To provide IT support to the relevant users in compliance with data protection, data security and Group policies and procedures.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides technical support to users via email, phone and Help-Desk portal
- Manages the workstations and the necessary hardware peripherals
- Monitors hardware functionality and takes action where necessary
- Manages software installation and set up on computers according to the specifications given
- Trains end users on how to use new software and IT equipment
- Organises and schedules updates and maintenance with users
- Maintains repair and correction records
- Identifies and suggests possible improvements to procedures
- Acts in compliance with Data Protection in line with current legislation and corporate policies
- Promotes a corporate culture based on safety
- Applies Corporate Principles and Values

Sofidel UK currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our IT department at our headquarters in Baglan! This is an excellent opportunity for someone with both IT skills and a practical mindset to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
- To Manage the Network Infrastructure and provide IT Support to the Relevant Users in Compliance with data protection, data security and Group policies and procedures.
- Provide on-site IT support to users
- Use and manage our internal ticketing system
- Management of all IT Hardware, like desktops, monitors, laptops, printers, mobile phones etc.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage Software installation and set up on computers according to the specifications given.
- Train end users on how to use new software and IT equipment.
- Help support Office and/or Production systems/hardware.
- Organise and schedule updates and maintenance with users.
- Maintain repair and correction records.
- Identifies and suggests possible improvements to procedures.
- Contribute to satisfying the continuing need for IT innovation and development.
- Acts in compliance with data protection in line with current legislation and corporate policies.
- Promote a corporate culture based on safety.
- Applies corporate Principles and Values.
Must haves:
- Knowledge of vehicle routing and scheduling systems and WMS.
- HP/Cisco networking solutions, managing switches and virtual environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to learn and act quickly, make decisions and draw conclusions in the face of ambiguity.
- Numerical and literacy skills to compile reports and necessary documentation as required.
- Can work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
- Good problem-solving skills
- Possess a methodical and flexible approach with the ability to prioritise a dynamic workflow.
- Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Products like Windows/Office & associated applications (Outlook, Word, Excel etc) in additional to adapt to dedicated industry software.
- A good communicator, team player & have excellent interpersonal skills
- Have comparable work experience within an Administrator or Help Desk environment.
- Experience investigating network incidents and monitoring internal/external escalation.
- Full valid UK driving licence as travel to regions is expected as part of the role.
Nice-To-Haves:
- Minimum 3 years of technical experience in a similar environment (Manufacturing preferred) operating at a similar level.
- Formal education in a related field
