PURPOSE
To guarantee the availability of trustworthy and prompt data through the correct development of quality control lab activities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out lab tests (raw materials and finished product) in accordance with the operational procedures defined in the reference documentation
- Manage the monitoring and measuring tools of the quality control lab
- Analyse the competitors’ products according to defined methods and timing, recording those activities in computer format
- Support the Line Manager in his working needs
- Promote a safety-bound corporate culture
- Apply the Corporate Principles and Values

Sofidel UK Â are looking for a conscientious and motivated Quality Assistant to join our Quality Department at our Baglan site in Wales. This is a hands-on role within a manufacturing environment, ideal for someone who enjoys practical work combined with strong administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collect product samples from relevant departments across site
• Perform routine mechanical testing for quality checks on paper product
• Accurately record, report, and maintain quality data and documentation
• Support the Quality team and the wider site with auditing activities

What you'll need:
• Ability to work well both independently and within a team
• Skilled in managing administrative tasks, prioritising workload and working effectively to deadlines.
• Previous experience in a similar quality role (ideally in the manufacturing industry)
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills

Nice top Have's:
• Experience with quality audits (ISO 9001 and/or BRC)
• Degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline
