PURPOSE
The Automation Engineering Coordinator role is critical for the factory to maintain high efficiency on the production lines by managing all control & automation systems including software and hardware throughout the production site in line with Group standards, safety guidelines and work instructions. The Automation Coordination will lead automation improvement projects, ensure the technical quality of solutions, and ensure the daily management and monitoring of automated processes and the automation team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Maintenance Manager in the organization of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance interventions
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance and perform corrective repairs.
Diagnose and solve problems with equipment and machinery, analyze performance data, and conduct root cause analysis for failures.
Schedule and coordinate repairs, develop preventive maintenance schedules, and ensure timely completion of all tasks.
Assist with maintenance budgets, monitor inventory of parts, and ensure proper tool availability.
Ensure compliance with the safety, environment and product’s safety provisions and with the procedures encompassed by the ISO 9001 Quality System
Leading projects aimed at improving equipment, facilities, and processes through automation
Ensuring the technical quality and cost-effectiveness of automation solutions implemented in the site
Scheduling and monitoring automated business process bots, and reporting on their benefits, utilization, and capacity.
Providing technical support for automation systems and training staff on their use.
Working with teams to identify and resolve issues with robotic and computer systems.
- Bachelors Degree in Automation/Electrical/ Engineering or equivalent;
- Experience in in hands-on automated equipments and installations maintenance and troubleshooting in a similar position, in an industrial environment
- Strong understanding of automation technologies, including PLCs, HMIs, drives, and industrial networks.
- Certifications in automation platforms
- Proficiency in automation software (e.g., Siemens Step 7), knowledge of industrial automation systems, PLCs, SCADA, robotics, and electrical systems.
- Leadership and communication: Ability to lead a team and communicate effectively with both technical staff and management.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues.
- Project management: Skills in planning, scheduling, and executing projects.
