Position Overview

Job Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety and environmental procedures and correctly utilize all safety PPE as required.
  • Participate in accident investigations as required.
  • Understand and apply customer specifications to the operation of the machine to assure finished goods comply with customer requirements.
  • Perform regular audits of equipment to ensure that the equipment is safe to operate including guards and safety systems.
  • All quality checks must be performed to published quality standards with honesty and integrity.
  • Inform the shift supervisor as well as appropriate management of non-conforming products.
  • Ensure the operating area and equipment are kept cleanly to minimize the risk of contaminants.
  • Run the machinery at maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure to set up all the equipment in the best way due to achieve the best performance.
  • Perform basic maintenance functions, and write work orders for items not able to be corrected.
  • Plan and perform change-over functions and set up equipment as necessary.
  • Eliminate all waste on raw materials and production activities.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance department and quality department.
  • Record productivity, and quality data on a shift basis with honesty and integrity.
  • Perform work functions as a team.
  • Guarantee the implementation and maintain a system of good practices.
  • Assist and advise management in specific training requirements.
  • Perform functions utilizing LEAN manufacturing techniques to minimize waste and optimize production.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and prior experience is preferred.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals.
