Position Overview

Sofidel America of Hattiesburg, MS, is currently seeking a Finished Goods Warehouse Supervisor. We are searching for a candidate that is local to the area and is looking for a long-term role in a stable environment. Your expertise will make you an important part of our team!

As the Finished Goods Warehouse Supervisor you are responsible for managing the warehouse's materials, staff, and overhead expenses. You will develop and lead a high-performance team that is motivated, innovative, and supports personal development. Ensuring that all team members follow all health and safety procedures and regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Works together with the Internal Logistics Process Manager to ensure that the required procedures are properly managed.
  • Checks that the delivered product is compliant with the accompanying technical documents.
  • Supervises the compliance with safety policies and processes
  • Ensure timely shipments and timely receipt of PO’s are completed
  • Utilize resources effectively to make sure that all material handling productivity targets are attained.
  • Maintain the training matrix and cross-train team members to satisfy the  training requirements
  • Accountable for the upkeep and maintenance of warehouse equipment
  • Responsible for training Warehouse employees on all powered material handling equipment
  • Implement corrective measures for errors and keep track of and maintain the correctness of outgoing client order shipments.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience supervising in a warehouse setting.
  • Employee must possess updated forklift certification.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics and its applications.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work effectively, courteously, and respectively with other employees.
  • Correctly perform daily forklift inspection at the start of your shift.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word and other systems.
