We are seeking a CNV Project Automation Engineer to join our Chief Technology Officer organization. This role will support the development, implementation, and optimization of automation systems across converting operations, with a focus on the CNV project. The position will play a key role in driving efficiency, reliability, and standardization across manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the design and implementation of automation systems for converting lines, automated guided vehicles, and automated warehouse systems
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to define technical requirements and project scope
- Assist in the integration of PLC, HMI, and control systems within manufacturing operations
- Troubleshoot automation and control system issues to ensure minimal downtime
- Support commissioning, start up, and validation of new equipment and systems
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to improve system performance
- Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Support standardization of automation practices across facilities
- Maintain technical documentation related to automation systems and projects
- Availability to travel is essential for this position in support of project implementation and operational needs across facilities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field
- Experience in industrial automation within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of PLC programming including Allen Bradley and Siemens systems, HMI systems, and industrial control systems
- Experience with converting or paper manufacturing equipment is a plus
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Availability and flexibility to travel up to 50% as required to support project implementation and operational needs across facilities
