Position Overview
Sofidel America, a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, is a leading manufacturer of tissue paper products for hygienic and household use. We are currently seeking a Finished Goods Warehouse Operator to join our team. We are looking for a dependable and safety focused individual who is interested in a long term opportunity with a stable and growing organization.
The Finished Goods Warehouse Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and shipment of finished goods throughout the warehouse and production facility. This role operates powered industrial equipment to load, unload, transport, and organize finished products while ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining quality standards, and supporting production and shipping operations. The Finished Goods Warehouse Operator plays a key role in maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Read work orders and follow oral instructions to ensure materials are transported correctly.
- Use a forklift to load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, or shelves.
- Transport materials from storage and work sites to designated areas.
- Stack and assemble materials into bundles and band them together.
- Scan labels on pallets, rolls, and other containers.
- Secure lift attachments to materials and transport loads to their destination.
- Assist with any operations as required to maintain the workflow, and meet quality requirements and production deadlines.
- Notify supervisors of unusual equipment, operating problems, and if any additional materials or supplies are needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with safety procedures and operating rules.
- Participate in a variety of meetings and groups to integrate activities, communicate and resolve problems, obtain necessary approvals, and maintain a specific level of knowledge about new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of experience in a warehouse setting are preferred.
- Must possess a valid forklift certification.
- Must have basic knowledge of mathematics and its applications.
- Both verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Ability to work effectively, courteously, and respectively with other employees.
- Correctly perform daily forklift inspection at the start of your shift.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and other systems.
