Position Overview

Sofidel America of Inola is currently seeking a Plant Housekeeper. We are searching for a candidate who is local to the area and is looking for a long-term role in a stable environment. Your expertise will make you an important part of our team!

Job Responsibilities

This individual is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment that supports production operations, employee safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

    • Maintain cleanliness throughout the manufacturing facility, warehouse, production areas, and surrounding work areas.
    • Support Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP requirements, and company sanitation standards.
    • Perform pre-shift inspections of industrial sweepers and other cleaning equipment to ensure safe operation.
    • Safely operate industrial sweepers, pallet jacks, balers, and other housekeeping equipment.
    • Clean and maintain sweepers and other equipment after each use.
    • Remove paper waste, scrap material, debris, and recyclable materials from production and warehouse areas.
    • Operate small balers and assist with recycling and waste management activities.
    • Maintain facility entrances, walkways, parking areas, and other designated outdoor areas.
    • Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards to supervision.
    • Assist production and warehouse operations as needed to support workflow, quality standards, and production schedules.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies and operating procedures.
    • Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in industrial housekeeping, manufacturing, warehouse, janitorial, or facility maintenance preferred.
  • Experience operating industrial cleaning and material-handling equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, operating instructions, work orders, and quality documentation.
  • Basic mathematical and computer skills preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, stand, and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Ability to work around paper dust, moving equipment, varying temperatures, and elevated noise levels.
  • Ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, reflective vests, and hairnets.
