Job Purpose

The CNV Electrical Technician will provide technical support and guidance on the general maintenance, installation, troubleshooting and repair of elecrtical equipment. The role will provide the highest level of reliablity within the shift pattern and maintain the Sofidel standards in relation to safety guidelines and working instructions. 


Main Duties

  • To ensure electrical operations and standards are maintained to a high quality
  • Perform troubleshooting on any machines that require maintenance 
  • Ensure that preventative maintenance is carried out on machines to decrease the risk of downtime 
  • To plan the installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based of job specifications 
  • Performan quality improvement maintenance as and when required to reduce cost and increase productivity 
  • Attend and address emergency situations and work cohesively with colleauges to problem solve 
  • To maintain records and files if requested
  • To ensure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift
  • To ensure health & safety rules are adhered to

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge of fault finding on PLC's  - Essential 
  • Comprehensive understanding of induction motors and servo motors - Essential 
  • Competent understanding of Health and Safety - Essential 
  • Understand the purpose of sensors and how they work - Essential 
  • Ability to carry out lone working and work effectively within a team - Desired 
  • Knowledge of robots - Desired 

Previous manufacturing experience is preferred
