The Role:
Sofidel UK currently have two fantastic opportunities for an accomplished gatehouse operative professional to join our team at our site based in our Hamilton site.
As a Gatehouse Operator you will be responsible for the entry and exit of all vehicles onto the manufacturing site, with this comes responsibility and accountability for the related paperwork and processes. As a Gatehouse Operator the successful candidate will combine their customer service, clerical and security skills to ensure the daily operational running of the logistical movements across the plant. This role will also provide critical support to our contractors, visitors and employees.
The working hours follow a continental shift pattern following four day shifts of 12 hours, followed by four days rest in Hamilton.
Main Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders entering the site
- Liaise with main reception or colleagues involved of the arrival of external stakeholders
- Ensure and accurate record of all visitors entering and leaving site
- Proactively check all trucks/cars entering and leaving the site
- Instruct all drivers entering the site on locations for the parking of vehicles and for specific and relevant procedures
- Confirm and record the weight vehicles entering and leaving the site following Group or company procedures
- Carry out random checks on vehicles leaving the site
- To maintain a tidy and clean working environment
- Ensure health & safety rules are adhered to
- Travel to our Sister company to support when required
