The Role:

Sofidel UK are currently on the look out for an experienced Machine Operator within a production/manufacturing setting. This role sits at the very heart of our production line and manages all aspects of the end to end production of our products. This role supports the manufacturing process of some of the UK's best known toilet tissue brands and plays a crucial part in the maintenance of machinery. We are on the look out for reliable hardworking individuals with a passion for processes and machinery to join our established team in Rothley. 

This role is full time working on our 4 shift pattern of 2 days/ 2 nights 4 off so you can get that all important work-life balance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the continuous running of our Packaging Machines 
  • Facilitate product change overs including the loading of polyethylene reels 
  • Responsible for the effective running of the log saw as and when required 
  • Interact with the Machine to solve minor issues/breakdown leading to the enhanced productivity of the machines 
  • Carry out quality checks on productions when required and report any faults to the respective person 
  • Carry out small maintenance activities and adjustments
  • Support the colleagues in case of need and overview the end line process when required
  • To ensure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift
  • To ensure health & safety rules are adhered to

Additional Skills/Requirements:

  • Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment is necessary 
  • Experience working as part of a team 
  • Excellent communication skills
