THE ROLE

Sofidel UK is currently looking for a Quality Assistant to join our Hamilton plant on a temporary basis, providing maternity cover.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the high-quality standards of our products. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will support the effective delivery of quality control laboratory activities, helping to ensure accurate, reliable and trustworthy data is available to support our production processes.

As a Quality Assistant, you will carry out routine quality testing on our products and provide accurate analytical data based on your findings. You will work closely with colleagues across the Quality and Production teams, gaining valuable hands-on experience and an in-depth understanding of the products we manufacture.

Working alongside our production department, you will develop unrivalled knowledge of Sofidel's manufacturing processes and the quality standards behind our world-renowned products. Your work will be an important part of ensuring that our products consistently meet the high standards our customers expect.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and carry out lab tests (raw materials and finished product) in accordance with the operational procedures 
  • Maintain the laboratory inventory ensuring the cleanliness of the tools 
  • Streamline the laboratory processes and maintaining lab cleanliness.
  • Analyse competitors’ products according to defined methods 
  • Perform and maintain all laboratory equipment verifications and calibrations 
  • Promote a safety-bound corporate culture
  • Apply the Corporate Principles and Values
