The Role:

Sofidel UK are currently looking for an innovative and reliable Site Logistics Manager to join our team in Leicester. The role will be based at our Integrated Plant in Hamilton however; travel to our secondary plant in Rothley will be required.  This role will oversee three direct reports, two of which are managerial level and report directly into the Country Logistics Manager.

As the Site Logistics Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of the supply chain are managed and meet the Company’s envisaged aims. Sofidel is big on sustainability and this role plays a crucial part in enhancing business development to ensure sustainability and maintaining customer satisfaction. Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse and transportation services
  • Oversee the arrangement of the Warehouses and develop improvements to enhance the efficiency of the workforce
  • Ensure all Supply Chain Areas are managed in compliance with H&S and Company standards
  • Manage, coach and train the Shipping Supervisor and Warehouse Managers to guarantee continuous development of talent
  • Liaise and negotiate with third party company’s
  • Maintain and report on metrical data to analyse and asses the performance of the Supply Chain team
  • Meet cost, time, productivity and efficiency KPI’s
  • Liaise with the wider Sofidel team and partner with production, planning and customer services departments to achieve the Groups mission objectives


Additional Skills / Requirements: 


  • Proven experience working as a Logistics Manager (or other related role)
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to lead, develop and manage staff
  • SAP knowledge
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge of supply chain/warehouse management
