PURPOSE

To study and carry out technical solutions to meet the corporate needs concerning automation and industrial computer infrastructure, in accordance with the group investments plan 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop the technical project and the arrangement of necessary documentation 
  • Test technically and economically the offers received by suppliers and arrange information for the purchase decision 
  • Together with the purchase office, participate in the negotiating phase with suppliers, if necessary 
  • Organize and supervise the projects carrying out and start-up 
  • Provide technical support and training to the productive units also in the post start-up phase
  • Get updated on technological innovation also through the relationships with suppliers 
  • Test the standardization of programs and the rationalization of licenses in the industrial area 
  • Develop projects concerning computer infrastructure in coordination with the Corporate Systems & Network Dept. 
  • Keep a close relationship with the local IT Administrator and operate with the plant in the resolution of hardware and software problems concerning the automation of industrial infrastructures  
  • Promote a safety-bound corporate culture
  • Apply the Corporate principles and values

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in information engineering 
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language
  • Available for frequent business trips
  • Knowledge of the main operating systems and related tools (Microsoft Windows, Linux and its declinations)
  • Knowledge of operating systems for virtual environments (e.g. VMWARE) and related back-up tools (VEEAM)
  • Knowledge of the main data bases (ORACLE, SQL)
  • Knowledge of computer networks and related hardware (Switches, Routers, Firewalls)
  • Knowledge of industrial automation software, e.g. Siemens S7
