Asset Leader - PM

We are seeking a Paper Machine Asset Leader to oversee and optimize the performance of our TAD paper machine. This role is responsible for ensuring excellence in safety, environmental compliance, quality, productivity, and cost management while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Paper Machine Asset Leader will also manage and develop a technical team, including process engineers and technicians, to enhance overall efficiency and performance.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols, investigating incidents, and leading behavioral safety programs.
• Oversee Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) compliance and environmental regulations.
• Maintain and improve product quality, ensuring audits, corrective actions, and product development support.
• Set and achieve production goals, drive loss elimination, and implement problem-solving tools.
• Lead Daily and Weekly Operating Reviews (DOR/WOR) and manage operational budgets efficiently.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing technical team, supporting training programs and SOP implementation, and Standard Work compliance.
• Foster open communication, teamwork, and strong leadership within the production area.
• Assist in performance management, coaching, and employee engagement to maintain morale.
• Provide leadership coverage in the Production Manager’s absence.
• Utilize analytical and decision-making skills to drive continuous improvement, and provide root cause analysis.
• Lead Routine and Annual Outage planning and execution working with the maintenance team.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience in manufacturing or engineering.
• At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to learn production-related programs.
• Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and industry best practices.
• Ability to work in a high-speed environment with exposure to noise, heat, and chemicals.
• Must stand, walk, and climb while wearing required PPE.
